Where I want the channel to go

I have thought long and hard about this decision, and I believe that I should shift focus towards more European focussed content. From a mental health perspective I find covering European issues much easier, and from a metric perspective more people come for that content generally. I feel regret in a way, for not producing consistently themed content that people can expect. From now until the end of October of 2022 my content will be focussed on Europe and European issues. I have the Taiwan video in the works, but it will be released at a later date.

The goal when I began Government’s Explained was to explain the nature of government, the “How”. Whether in China, the US, Japan, Korea, they all have conditions which make their modern composition unique. How did those governments develop?

What I have realized over the last year is that my Europe focussed content has gotten a lot more traction, and I want to build on that. If that is the type of content people wish to see, it’s what I will make. I don’t want to waffle around anymore, I want to take this seriously and dedicate more of my time to making a stronger brand and channel. Even though it pains me to make this shift, I feel like focussing down on Europe will be beneficial in the long term. If I do end up visiting Asia at some point, I may produce a video about it - or the Asian diaspora in Europe - but for the near future I will focus on European issues and content.
